Help & FAQ
Common questions about renting and listing on BORO.
How does renting work?
Browse listings, pick dates, and send a rental request to the owner. Once they accept, you'll pay through the app and arrange pickup. Return the item by the end date and you're done.
What is damage protection?
A small fee added to every rental that covers accidental damage to the item during your rental period. It protects both you and the owner.
How do security deposits work?
For higher-value items the owner may require a refundable security hold on your card at pickup. The hold is released automatically when you return the item in good condition — you are never charged unless there is a damage claim.
How do I list an item?
Go to 'List an item', fill in the details, set your daily rate, and publish. Items valued at $150 or more are held for a brief admin review before appearing in search.
When do I get paid as an owner?
Payouts are sent to your connected bank account after the rental ends. You can track earnings in the Earnings tab.
How do I cancel a rental?
Open the rental detail page and use the 'Cancel' option. Cancellation policies vary — check the item listing for details before booking.
Is delivery available?
Some owners offer delivery via a courier service. Look for the delivery badge on listings. Delivery fees are shown at checkout.
